JZ Technology is a technology company based in Bydgoszcz, Poland. We build software, look after the quality of systems already in production, and run day-to-day IT for companies. We trade as JZ Technology; the business is registered, and invoices, as Usługi informatyczne Jakub Zając.

The company started from a simple observation: in technology projects the expensive part is rarely the code — it is blurred accountability. So we run the company at a size where it is always clear who made a decision and who answers for its consequences.
We work in three areas: we build digital products, we look after the quality and infrastructure of systems already running, and we provide IT support for companies. Those areas feed each other — habits from audits and testing go into projects, and production experience goes back into audits.
The core structure is deliberately small, and we expand project teams with trusted specialists when the scope calls for it. There are no departments and no account managers. We take on as much work as we can deliver at the quality we promised — and if a project needs scale we do not have, we say so at the estimate stage.
Much of the experience behind this work comes from enterprise environments: large-scale data, regulatory requirements and formal release processes. We apply the same practice to a data platform and to the backup in a two-person office.
I built this company so the client talks to the person making the technical decisions, not to their representative. As long as I can keep it that way, I intend to.
